Placing Orders

Orders may be placed with a Sterling sales representative or by e-mailing (cs@sterlingcutglass.com) or faxing (859-283-2434) your order directly to Sterling Cut Glass. Our friendly and knowledgeable customer service representatives are always ready to assist you at 1-800-543-1317, Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:30 pm EST or cs@sterlingcutglass.com.  All orders require a specified in-hands date. Please include a contact name and email address with your order.

 

Minimum Order

The minimum order is $50. Orders totaling less than $50 are subject to a $10 processing fee. 

The per item minimum for light etch is 72 pieces. *Bulk items must be ordered in case pack quantities.

 

Payment Terms

Due to the custom nature of our product, first-time orders must be paid in advance.  Sterling accepts personal or business checks, as well as Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Upon credit approval, Sterling can accommodate billing terms of net 30 days. Invoices may be paid online at www.sterlingcutglass.com

 

  

Production Time 

Standard production time is 10-15 business days after an order is received, plus shipping time. All orders require an IN-HANDS DATE to be scheduled for production. Orders without a specified date, or “ASAP,” will be produced as time and order volume permits. Faster turnaround may be available – please contact your sales or customer service rep for details.

 

Rush Orders

An order submitted allowing less than the standard production time is subject to a 10% rush surcharge–$50 minimum, plus expedited delivery charges if required. If approved artwork, copy, or quantities are changed, or if art approvals are not signed off on within this same time frame, a rush surcharge may also apply.

 

Proof Approvals

To ensure on-time delivery of your order, proofs must be approved within 48 hours of receipt. Failure to approve proofs within 48 hours may result in delivery delays, expedited shipping charges, and rush order charges. Prompt proof approvals keep your order on schedule!

 

Artwork Requirements

All orders should be accompanied by artwork in an acceptable format. We reserve the right to clean up artwork without prior approval if charges do not exceed $50.

 

Art & Logo Set-up

There is NO LOGO SETUP CHARGE for artwork submitted under VECTOR ART GUIDELINES.

Vector (Adobe Illustrator (ai), EPS, or vector PDF)

   • used for logos, text, and illustrations

   • can be scaled to any size without distortion

   • ColorMark files should indicate artwork and copy colors in the file

   • remains sharp at any resolution

   • free logo setup

A vector file is used for the etching process

 

Raster (scanned images, jpegs, tiffs, gifs, bmps, or raster pdf)

   • defined by pixels

   • cannot be scaled without distortion

   • resolution dependent (not clear when resized)

   • logo setup charge $50

   • highly complex raster images may incur additional charges

To maintain the clarity of the art and text, a raster file will need to be redrawn before it can be used in the etching process.

Please note: If a raster image is saved in a vector format, that doesn't change the actual art into a vector image.

Stock Designs

To assist those without a club crest or for those who need a special logo for a personal or corporate golf outing, please contact our customer service department for a copy of available designs.

  

Custom Order Merchandise

Custom order or special order merchandise requires payment in advance (minimum 50% deposit) to initiate the order. Overruns and underruns up to 10% are industry standard. Such orders are non-cancellable. Correctly custom-etched or engraved merchandise is not returnable. Returns of plain merchandise are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Returns are not accepted without prior return authorization.

 

Over/Under Run Policy

Sterling aims to ship exact quantities. Large glassware orders (250+) are subject to an industry-standard 5% over/under run policy.

Type of Package:

 

Bulk packaging

Manufacturer's corrugated box, with partitions to protect contents.

Gift Box

A colored, coasted corrugated box; contents are wrapped in decorative tissue (and protective foam as necessary).

Presentation Box

A rigid, laminated board box with the inside fitted to cradle and protect the contents. Available with optic crystal gifts and awards only.

Decanter Set Gift Box

Designer packaging, including full telescoping lid-for 3 & 5 piece decanter sets.

 

Measurements

All capacities and sizes listed are approximate and include the width of handles and dimensions of bases where applicable.

 

Opposite Side Etching

Some items allow space for a second side etch (e.g. the opposite side of a trophy or drinking glass). Please add a deep etch charge of $4.50 per glass or gift item and $10 per trophy/award. In the case of large volume glassware orders, opposite side light etching (where available) may be added for a surcharge of $2 per glass. Please note that set-up charges may apply in addition to the above etching charges.

 

Color Fill

Add a rich gold or silver fill to deep etching on select trophies & awards where noted. Please specify gold or silver fill. ColorMark allows you to add full color artwork to flat awards and gifts. This process is ideal for full color images and also provides the opportunity to combine color to your deep etch logo. Items available in ColorMark are indicated. Please see Art & Logo Set-up guidelines for art set-up fees. ColorMark items are available for the same price as deep etch; if adding ColorMark to a deep etch item, please add $15 for an award and $10 for a gift.

 

Enclosures

An extra charge may apply for certain customer-supplied insertions. Please contact customer service for a price quote.

 

Shipping & Handling

Orders are shipped prepaid with freight and handling charges added to the invoice. All shipments are F.O.B. Erlanger, KY (greater Cincinnati, OH).  Our standard method of shipping is FedEx; however, common carrier truck shipments, as well as air freight services are also available. Shipments sent via FedEx will be automatically accompanied by a tracking notification via e-mail.

 

Drop Shipments 

For drop shipping directly from Sterling to your recipients, please add an additional $7.00 per domestic address plus shipping charges. Names and addresses must be supplied in Microsoft Excel format.

 

Freight Claims/Breakage

Sterling carefully packages all shipments to ensure safe arrival using our eco-friendly packing peanuts. In the unlikely event of breakage in transit, Sterling will file the claim with the freight carrier; however, we require your adherence to the following steps:

     1. Open immediately upon receipt and inspect all contents.

     2. In the event of breakage you must save the outer carton, all packing  materials and contents.

     3. Report the damage within 48 hours to Sterling’s customer service department at 1-800-543-1317.

Following this procedure will help ensure timely replacement of your merchandise. No claims for damage or shortage will be honored after 10 days from receipt of goods.  Replacements will be shipped via ground service within 48 hours of the breakage report.

As an official licensee of the PGA TOUR®, LPGA® and the Kentucky Derby®, Sterling Cut Glass is able to offer qualified customers the use of these logos and those of their affiliated events on most pieces in this catalog. Please call for details.

 

Trademark

Liability for correct use of a trademark, crest or logo rests with the customer. The logos shown in this catalog represent orders from our customers and are used for illustration purposes only. These logos are the exclusive property of the respective institutions.

 

PROP 65 WARNING

Consuming foods or beverages that have been kept or served in leaded crystal products or handling products made of leaded crystal will expose you to lead – a chemical known to the state of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Sterling Cut Glass guarantees all workmanship to be first quality. Because most of our offerings are hand crafted, it is natural for small air bubbles, chill marks, flow lines or slight surface irregularities to appear. These unique variations are not considered defects.  We make every effort to select pieces which demonstrate the finest representation of the craft, and to minimize any appearance of these characteristics in or around the etching area. Returns cannot be accepted without prior written authorization.

  

Pricing Policy

All prices in this catalog are listed at WHOLESALE COST and are available only to qualified buyers, subject to credit approval.

• A discount of 5% on single orders of $2500 or greater is available when paid within terms.

• A discount of 10% on single orders of $5000 or greater is available when paid within terms.

Extra charges such as freight, artwork setups, second side etch, cartons, labels, etc. are not subject to discounts.
